Lara’s love of gardens stems from her childhood visits to the many fine homes throughout Europe, and she continues to travel as much as possible. Now an avid gardener, she did not start out in Landscape Architecture but initially studied Art, with an emphasis in Sculpture and Art History, and Psychology. Following a directorship position in a fine art gallery, Lara returned to Dallas and studied Ornamental Horticulture at Richland before embarking on her Master’s in Landscape Architecture at UTA.
Lara interned with the American Horticultural Society in Alexander, Virginia; Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Society; and here at Lambert’s before joining the design team as a garden designer. Incorporating her interests in the Arts, history and writing she now serves as our Marketing & Recruiting Manager. Lara's images and writings have been published in a variety of publications from local to national, and she continues her artistic endeavors of photography, painting, and sculpting.
