Contemporary Texas GardenThis garden was designed to reflect the contemporary Texas hill country architecture by architect Frank Welch. The residence has very clean lines with subtle changes in materials, patterns and textures. The garden reflects these characteristics by incorporating indigenous Texas cut limestone and brick salvaged from a warehouse in Austin, juxtaposed to a soft native plant palette. The native materials are complemented by a collection of sedum and architectural plantings of bamboo, equisetum and red yucca to help emphasize the lines of the home. |
