New Orleans Style Courtyard

This home was designed with the goal of simple New Orleans intimacy. The balconies off the master bedroom were a design recommendation of the landscape architect, which altered a proposed plain rear elevation of the house into a dynamic extension of the interior living space.   The addition of the wraparound balconies provides a sensitive, articulated backdrop for the courtyard with a New Orleans flavor.  Included within the space are mature oaks, layered planting, ironwork detailing, recycled brick and a combined spa and water feature.
